No consequences equals disaster.

In real life, if you don't do anything, nothing happens. Literally nothing happens. You don't progress, in fact you digress. So why are we teaching our children in elementary education that it doesn't really matter if you do your work or not, since you will move on to the next grade next year.

Bush's No Child Left Behind has killed our children's motivation, not to mention any chance of gifted children learning anything in the classroom.

The only reason half of the students do the work is because children are inherently good. They want to please and achieve. However, we have taken away consequences for wrong choices. What is this teaching?

What can be done to correct our education?

I'm not really a blogger, am I?

It seems funny, but there as always been something about blogging that I thought wasn't for me or that was kind of just odd. I have been thinking for a long time, though, that this would be the best medium for me to just get my thoughts out there and to save them in sorts. So, here it goes, I guess I'm a blogger.
